Fierce Woman Feature - Lisa Marsh

"Last week I attended the Women's Leadership Conference sponsored by BMO and the Illinois Diversity Council along with several other recipients of the 2022 BMO Women in Business.

Lisa Marsh, CEO/Founder of Ms. P's Gluten Free granola and snacks.  Lisa is the queen of pivoting having moved from a 28-year career in the correctional system to entrepreneur and consumer packaged goods manufacturer!  Ms. P's like most great businesses started with a problem - Lisa had to go gluten-free and couldn't for the life of her find tasty, healthy gluten-free snacks to be on hand to support her busy lifestyle.  She had always loved baking and so started playing with recipes and ingredients and testing them with her family.  She decided to launch Ms. P's, named after her mother, as a way to improve access to healthy food in her own community and beyond.  Fast forward, and she now has contracts for her Ms. P's granolas in all Chicago Whole Foods locations and is building a presence both on and offline.

Why is she fierce?

Her energy seems to be everlasting, and her willingness to learn about and master all facets of the business just blew me away.  Plus, she serves as a great role model to her children - her daughter works with her in the business, and she attributes her drive to showing them what a woman can do with a vision and a lot of hard work.

I can't wait to meet more of the FierceWomen who are sister BMO Grant Recipients! "
